Deus Ex Directors Cut Pricing Revealed

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was a good game, bringing to life an older series that stood as a solid game in and of itself. It was even good enough to merit a major expansion/fix in the form of a Directors Cut that overhauls the Boss fights, AI and graphical quality. We already knew that it was due to hit sometime in the last week of October - the 22nd, or the 25th for PAL regions - but what we didn't know until now was the planned pricing, or whether or not those of us who already have the game (read: most of the people who would be interested in a Directors Cut) will have to make a full purchase all over again. Well the wait is over!

According to the official announcement, you can either buy the Directors Cut outright, or augment the version that you already have - at a decreased cost - to support the new features. The deals are as follows:

New purchase (if you don't already have the game): £12.99/€19.99/$19.99

Own the basic game (with no DLC): £6.99/€7.99/$9.99

Own the game and Missing Link DLC: £3.49/€3.99/$4.99

To tell the truth, I liked Human Revolution as it was - but then again, I still haven't managed to really get into playing the original - but $5-$6 Australian Dollars (depending on the exchange rate) doesn't seem too bad for a version of the game where I don't have to swap between the main game and the Missing Link, especially if there's a developer commentary to go along with it.

I think it's rather weird to have it as a separate package....but at least the pricing seems fair, I'll probably wait for a cheaper discount =P

ENB doesnt rid yellow and grey, it doesnt add more colors to the game.
Biggest problem is the lack of lighting, I mean theres like zero shadows. :/

Great value. The game has been dirt cheap so many times, there's really no excuse for people not owning both HR and its DLC.

Gonna buy.
Wont play.
Cause somehow I cant stand it, the monotonous colorpalette....YELLOW and Grey?

Quite good. Civ V works similar as pricing is concerned.

At last someone figured out a proper way to treat people who buy new games!
