Deluxe, Not Lite
Last month we reported on Ubisoft's 'playable painting', Child of Light, getting an April release date. Now we've just received word that a deluxe edition of the game will release the same day as the standard version. The deluxe edition comes with a poster designed by Yoshitaka Amano (who Final Fantasy fans will know from his amazing art work on that series), a 24 page art book, an Igniculus key ring and extra game content. The game will be available on a variety of platforms alongside PC and will "benefit from a cross-buy option". In other words, if you buy the game on PS3 you'll also get a copy for PS4 at no extra cost. The deluxe edition will only be available in "in the UK and other EMEA territories" and you can pre-order physical and digital copies right now.
The press release for the deluxe edition also enclosed a link to a trailer show casing the co-op game play, which you can check out above. Your constant companion, Igniculus, is a floating orb of light and they can reach area of the level Princess Aurora can't, freeze enemies that cross her path and can even heal her too.
