With DayZ Standalone already containing an immense amount of features it's hard to believe they want to add more! In a recent tweet by Dean "rocket2guns" Hall who's the lead developer of DayZ, has asked for anyone to send him short stories for in game books that can be looted & read in a similar fashion as Fallout/Skyrim.
"Budding writer? Demo your work in DayZ? We thinking of putting books findable in game (e.g. Fallout/Skyrim). Email matt.lightfoot@bistudio.com"
While the formal guidelines for submissions are still being worked out, this could well be the beginning of an entire storyline, lore and personal accounts of the zombie invasion within the DayZ universe. Then again the story's that get chosen for DayZ Standalone could well be steamy romance novels for those lonely nights at the campfire.

They might unlock them as readable .pdf's for your desktop, or via an in game menu or some such.
I'm wondering if it'd be worth submitting a copy of my book. Free publicity yo'

I wonder how it will work with longer stories? What if you get shot while reading?

Just emailed them a blog I started a few weeks ago. I enjoyed finding notes in The War Z, and as I'm enjoying DayZ much more, I hope they do add something similar.
