Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, the newest package of Dark Souls content that will be including all three DLC packages, a large scale update, and new NPCs, just gave us some more info.
Everything we know about the package already can be found here, but to spare you the details Scholar of the First Sin is a new version of Dark Souls II with a new NPC, more online functionality, all three DLC packages included in it, and a large scale update to the game.

Three major updates were mentioned in the release, firstly, the release date.

Firstly, that "gamers who already own Dark Souls II on PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation®3 will receive the ver.1.10 update free of charge."

Secondly, that Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be its own "version" of the game, meaning that it will most likely be put up on Steam as an alternative game much like Dark Souls and the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition were.

And lastly, that "Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be available on April 3rd, 2015 for the PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system, and PC."

Some pretty major updates to the game are being planned for the latest entry in the Souls series, but it looks like we'll have to wait until April 3rd or wait for Bandai Namco to spill some more info to find out exactly what those updates are and how they affect the game.
