Last night, during the VGA’s, Dark Souls 2 got an announcement trailer. It’s kind of abstract but so was the trailer for Dark Souls, so we will have to hold on a bit longer till we get our paws on some solid information. But at least it has already been confirmed on PC and without a petition this time.
Now Dark Souls was far from a perfect game, mostly because of the shabby porting. This time around we can only hope that the port will get more love and care, and we can enjoy a proper game without the need for community fixing. If that happens, all our deepest masochistic dreams should be fulfilled.

I should have hated Dark Souls on PC for what it did to me... but that game was too crazy for me to hate on. After the community patched it, I still managed to love it.

... But will the port actually be acceptable this time? I didn't bite the bullet last time, I couldn't accept the state that the game was in, and how the developers clearly didn't give a rat's fuck. Not a single proper patch doing anything to improve any of the abysmal issues that the game had.
I can't pay money to someone who clearly hates me so much based on what gaming system I prefer.
