CS:GO Implements Vigilantes (Well Not Really)

It seems that Gabe Newell's plans to take over the world has reached yet another stage, this type implementing the dystopian neighbour-police that was hinted at in the previous Valve game, Half-Life 2, even using the same name for them - Overwatch. It's test run appears to be within the CS:GO community, where experienced players can receive reports of 'disruptive behaviour' and deal with problems that arise, commonly through temporary bans, or smashing in your door at 3am in the morning.

The players were selected using a distinct criteria, and will collectively agree on decisions made. The longer the member participates, the higher his responsibilities will pile. Of course, it's still a trial run, but the consequences are still there. More details on the program can be read here. Prepare yourself for the coming conqueror. All Hail Gabe.

Ideally though they should follow in the steps of Riot more, their tribunal is in a browser and anyone who is level 30 can participate in it through the official LoL website. People can see what people are reported for, view chatlogs and see game scores + items. They then click punish, pardon or skip. Then depending on the majority vote, that person is punished or pardoned. Then the first actions are automated (time bans, warnings etc...) and if they then later come back to the tribunal and are majority voted as punish again. Their case will be forwarded to Riot staff who will decide on the appropriate action.

Looks to be a good idea....I'm hoping that a few of them will go Dirty Harry on repeat offenders asses, which would be awesome!

Reminds me of the League of Legends Tribunal... I hope Valve can implement it correctly, the Tribunal works well in League of Legends.
