CES: Nvidia’s GameStream Ready Routers

Most of Nvidia’s CES presentation was aimed at the mobile devices with the details about their next SoC – Tegra K1. However, one bit was relevant to the wider audiences, concerning Nvidia’s streaming technology – GameStream. While Nvidia Shield benefits from Tegra’s graphical power while playing Android games, its ability to stream games from PC is another important selling point for the handheld. The latency is important factor when it comes to streaming and Nvidia worked with router manufacturers to get minimal latency possible, while sustaining the necessary bandwidth. Nvidia has announced the first list of GameStream ready routers which should provide the optimal experience:
Asus RT-AC66U
Asus RT-AC68U
Asus RT-N56U
Asus RT-N66U
Buffalo AirStation Extreme AC 1750
Buffalo AirStation Extreme AC 1200

D-Link DGL-5500 AC1300
Netgear Nighthawk R700
