CD Projekt - PC Is The Most Powerful...For The Moment

In an interview with GamesIndustry Adam Badowski, the CEO of CD Projekt Red, a company known for their championing of the PC, has said that while the PC is the most powerful gaming platform at the moment - and thus more suited to their trademark high-quality visuals - with the advances in the next generation consoles, that may change.
Providing an interesting insight into the minds behind CD Projekt Red, Badowski said that although they treat all platforms individually, 'PC was the lead platform for Witcher 2 because it was the most powerful, but that might change in the future', clarifying that 'PC allows for more at the moment, but new platforms are stepping up. In the future, it should be much easier to unify the requirements. Some things, like control schemes, will still need to be tailored to the platforms but the new platforms will unify requirements.'
Personally, I think he's ignoring that Moore's Law is global for all technology, so the PC will continue to become more powerful over time as well as consoles - even if it's also true that May's Law negates much of that. Still, time will tell if Badowski's predictions prove true.

PC technology will stop evolving one day. Well, no, it'll reach a time when there's no point in making it more powerful anymore. People will still do it, just...'cause. The same way there are some lunatics that already have eight freaking video cards and sixty-four gigabytes of RAM. But consoles being more powerful? Maybe more accessible and better optimised, straight out of the box. For a very, very, VERY short time after being first released. But more powerful?
I'll let Hirai-baka close this one for me.

It's a big presumption he is making that PC technology will stop evolving lol. As it is, the PS4 hardware so far seems to be slightly less strong than the best PC hardware money can buy today and the PS4 isn't even out yet and new PC technology is right around the corner too!
