Cause You Are a Pirate!
I have some news from Ubisoft for you, dear PC gamers. Please find it here. As you have most probably guessed right away, it is connected with the upcoming Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. To be more precise - in regards the game's release date for our platform of choice. The creative director of AC4, Ashraf Ismail, was asked about the release date and, quite elusively, admitted that the game will come out on PC a few weeks after the current-gen console version (the next-gen one will come out then the consoles are ready, obviously).
This is it, dear PC gamer. You are "a Pirate" and Ubi needs some extra time to create innovative DRM solutions. Ones which the real pirates will breach within a day, but who cares, eh?

Exactly.
It's quite sad actually

People will even pirate stuff that is free :D

On the other hand. People will pirate it. No matter what. No DRM that can be written is infallible. All they're doing is irritating the kinds of people who are best able to commit piracy. And, as history has shown, potentially pushing them to piracy as a standard, because the DRM is so damned invasive it makes the game impossible to play

Let's face it, there ARE people who will pirate the game on the PC. There's potential console gamers who would rather pirate it on their PCs than buy it on their consoles. From a business perspective, I can understand Ubisoft's concern.
Still, only postponing it a few mere weeks seems kinda self-defeating. It doesn't end up serving any purpose. The pirates don't have an issue with waiting a few weeks. If it had been half a year or more, however...

So, their approach to improving relations with PC gamers is...say we want to improve relations and hope no-one notices they're doing exactly the same thing as before?
Plus, what happened to PC being the lead platform?

I can wait few weeks.

I don't understand people at Ubi marketing. They delay the release of PC version of AC each time, and deny it each time. It won't work for a 6th time in a row.

A few weeks is nothing to cry over. I'll happily wait.
