Capcom are back with some more promotional goodies for the latest Lost Planet game. The first of these is the trailer embedded above that has Jim Peyton monologuing about his experiences surviving on the icy, desolate planet of E.D.N III. The related press release says the following as a lead in to the trailer:

"When Jim Peyton took the job with NEVEC, he knew life on E.D.N. III wasn't going to be easy. But was he prepared for a daily battle against sub-zero temperatures, ice storms and an unforgiving terrain, as well as an indigenous species that is pretty damn upset mankind is trying to colonise its home?"

Accompanying this new trailer is an interactive website called the Coronis Diary. The web page has several nodes containing a series of 'transmissions' and most of these are locked for the time being. Judging by the first one available, these transmissions will offer some insight into Peyton's early experiences on the planet. And from the first one we see that he's come to E.D.N III leaving his partner and child behind on his home world.

Lost Planet III will be released in North America on PC, Xbox 360 & PS3 on August 27th and then in Europe on August 30th later this year.
