In a shocking move, the first numbered sequel in the Dead Island series has dropped the goofy, gore and violence approach to game design. Opting instead for a powerful, deeply insightful exploration of the mass control modern media has on the youth of today. Harkening back to the old days of the Romero zombie, which were used to represent the masses blindly following the trends and strictures of our world. All set against the backdrop of the most prolific sign of this decadent approach to life. The inimitable Hollywood...nah, I'm just fucking with you, it's still dumb as shit.
I have to say though, it looks bloody amazing. Now, this is pre-alpha (seriously) and thus subject to change. But if this genuinely is in game, as in in game, not just pre-rendered in engine animations...well then. If it keeps this quality (for the PC at least) this is going to be one hell of an amazing visual experience. The animations for weapon swings are genuinely some of the most lifelike I have ever seen.
