If you have played BioShock: Infinite then you will be quite familiar with 1999 mode, which was the hardest difficulty mode. Then fans will be pleased to hear that Burial at Sea – Part 2 will have a similar mode, called 1998. This new mode will mean that gamers will only be able to use non-lethal weapons to complete the final chapter of the series. This is in addition to the regular game difficulties, which of course includes the above mentioned 1999.

Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games said: "In Burial at Sea – Episode Two we put a focus on balance and stealth mechanics. As we were developing this new style of gameplay, we started to see people self-impose non-lethal playthrough's. Given the fan reception of 1999 Mode, we thought it would be cool to give them another way to play Burial at Sea that challenged their mastery of stealth tools."

It should be interesting trying to complete the DLC using just non-lethal weapons, as this will mean Elizabeth using stealth techniques in order to avoid or take out her enemies. The DLC is due for release March 25 and will be able to purchase separately, or as part of the season pass. Let us know below your thoughts.
