Broken Age Getting a Retail Release in Spring

Good news for Broken Age fans, even better news for collectors, and the best news for German Broken Age fans who happen to be collectors. Mac, Linux, and PC playable copies of Broken Age are getting a retail release after Double Fine struck a deal with Nordic Games to put physical copies in stores and German subtitles in the game sometime in the Spring alongside the digital release.

"Nordic Games signed a distribution deal with Double Fine Productions for the retail edition of Broken Age for PC, Mac, and Linux. The boxed version will be released simultaneously with the digital version in Spring 2015. Aside from the retail release, new German voice-overs have been recorded for all characters."

If it's this isn't music to your...eyes, it's at least great news to Double Fine CEO Time Schafer, who hopes this "will make it[Broken Age] more safe from solar flares and EMP bombs and stuff like that. As long as people store their disks in fire proof safes."

We love you Tim Schafer, please bring back Psychonauts, but in the meantime I'll accept Broken Age in its place.
