Blood Dragon Sequel in the Works?
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was released last week with an amazing fan reaction. So great, in fact that they've completely outdone their sales expectations, the result of which is that they're considering a sequel. Michael 'Corporal Dwayne Hicks' Biehn in an interview with Xbox's Major Nelson, has spoken about how he managed to fall into the role of 'Sergent Rex Power Colt', how he found the role - he loved the role, and the fact that he could act like a much younger man again, since all that mattered was his voice - and that he now has more people coming up to him asking about Blood Dragon than his movie roles. The most interesting thing said in the interview though, was that - at least from what Biehn has picked up - Blood Dragon sold more than 5 times the expected number of sales, and that he has been in contact with Blood Dragon's Creative Director Dean Evans, who is more than excited about - and already tossing around ideas for - a sequel, saying "Dean was with me on the phone last night, he called me last night. He was pretty jacked up. He was going into a meeting today, to... I think he wants to turn it into some sort of franchise. He's got a sequel in mind." and "This is only the beginning, you've only seen a slice of what we're going to do with Rex Colt."
Considering how good reports are concerning Blood Dragon, I can truthfully say that I'm excited about the prospect of seeing a second one. What do you guys think?
