Bad Company Will Be Back

Battlefield: Bad Company was a console only spin-off of the main Battlefield line, introducing a plot driven campaign and destructible environments. Anyways, Bad Company 2 was way more linear, also came on PCs and featured a Russian-US military of stupidity comparable to Modern Warfare 2 and 3. Haven't heard about it since then... until now.
As Joystiq reports, there are talks of continuing the Bad Company line somewhere in the future – but after they finish tackling the sexy, sexy Titanfall and Star Wars: Battlefront.
"My feeling is that I would love to do it," said DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson of a third Bad Company, being so mushy it's cute.
"For me, when we started the company with 1942, it was really a work of passion," he told reporters at a recent Battlefield event. "And then we worked our way through the era of different wars, and I loved them all, like my little babies. When it came to Bad Company, it was creative freedom; don't take yourself too seriously."
This is kind of true: Bad Company featured the titular B company of the US Army (don't ask me about division, Task Force, Brigade combat group or any such details), where the bad, expendable apples went. Also, Army getting some action? That's crazy. Anyways, it featured four somewhat crazy guys that were out to first get mercenary gold and later stop the Russians from EMPing the states. Imagine all the crazed people suddenly cut off from Twitter and Facebook!
"But trust me," reassured Gustavsson, "the Bad Company [team] isn't forgotten, they are just on a very long vacation. So they are out there, they're coming back."
By team, they mean the four guys in the game. Also, EA has mentioned that it has plans to cycle titles in a three year cycles: Battlefield, Titanfall, Battlefront and over again. Better than a game every year and three years is enough time to get enough additional content and for technology to advance places.
Hopefully, Bad Company 3 will return to the open world-ish roots of Bad Company 1 (one of my co-workers tells such tales) and people will stop calling IFVs "tanks."

Yeah I'd like BC1 on PC as well. As for BC3 it would be good to shuffle games around and not get just BF+1 every few years.
Maybe its time to create a new franchise as well?

All good but....can we please have 1943 and Bad Company 1 for PC?
