Assassin's Creed Unity's Co-op and Customization
Ubisoft has just given us a whole new trailer worth of information regarding their co-op mechanics in the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity. This trailer touches on the newest features in the Assassin's Creed series, the customization of characters and the multiplayer co-op.
Multiplayer isn't anything new to assassin's creed, it's had competitive online play since Brotherhood, but co-op, that's new. Apparently friends or strangers can take their customized assassins online to tackle missions together. You can even select specific player's to assist you on certain mission's if you find that one mission too hard to do on your own and need help from a highly-rated and skilled player.
Another old feature that Ubisoft has taken in another direction, customization, is a step above par it seems. Assassin's Creed has always let you pick up some new armor or weapons before, but starting with Unity you'll be able to select the color and style of your outfit, along with the weapons, accessories, and equipment hanging on it. Clothing and equipment will be unlocked through game progression and as you complete missions. Everything from knives to hammers to axes will be unlockable, as will be different outfits and colors presumably.
You can also find the first trailer about gameplay below, or you can simply expect Assassin's Creed Unity release on the upcoming 28th of October.
