Assassinating Wallets
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed 3 has already sold an estimated 3.5 million units in just its first week of being out on consoles!
While PC gamers will have to wait till November 20th to get their hands on this massive hit, the reception on consoles has been very positive!
While this news does fill me with annoyance about Ubisoft and their anti-PC policies, I still cannot wait to play Assassin’s Creed 3!
Even with all these sales Ubisoft has posted its six month fiscal earnings for 2012, thus from the 1st of April 2012 until the 30th of September 2012. During this period, Ubisoft earned 280 million Euros in sales however, after deducting costs, taxes and overhead – Ubisoft made a shocking 32 million Euros in losses! It is however important to note that Ubisoft made 37 million Euros loss during the same period last fiscal year.
Ubisoft also stated that a large portion of these losses can be explained by the development and promotion of upcoming titles such as Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3.
