ArmA 3 Goes Ballistic
Not really any significant games news, but still something that should interest the legions of fellow ArmA 3 fans out there - a video narrated by an individual named Dslyecxi. What is it about? Terminal and exterior ballistic models.
Good, now that we've turned away the mere enthusiasts, sending them running for the exits, we can begin. Apparently ArmA 3 boasts 'significant improvements' in those areas as compared to ArmA 2, and this video showcases about how they work and what exactly each bullet type does - how that affects the gunplay and shooting trajectories in the game. While having knowledge of firing weapons is not necessary in understanding this video, it sure does help, but altogether it should be an entertaining listen to any ArmA 3 enthusiast. Go on over, check it out.

Well after having served in ze superarmysoldiers-military for some years, I can just let you all know that hitting things in real-life is significantly EASIER than in the Arma games. Professional soldiers handle weapons as if they are extensions of their bodies. When I play the Arma games, I feel like I'm controlling a five year old child who never touched a weapon in his life. Awfully slow reloading, terrible and recoil management, for example. Come on, man! Is parkinson's a pre-requisite for this army?!

I'm not entirely convinced of it's realism, but it's damned impressive all the same

Wow, this is impressive. Didn't think such complex simulations are going on in ARMA 3.
