Arkham Origins to Feature Asia and Permadeath

Batman! You might have heard of him, his comics, movies and video games. The newest in the batch, Arkham Origins, will have both tenuous connections for the least secure asylum for the criminally insane and Bruce Wayne learning how to be ninja before he decided to become the first furry.
The last - ninja, not furry - part is for those who pay for DLCs, of course. As Arkham Origins producer Guillaume Voghel told Eurogamer at EGX 2013, the DLC is going to cover Wayne's training from ninja master Kirigi. As for where he'll be training... "He goes to a monastery - custom content was created for the DLC. You'll be in Asia in the monastery". And here I was afraid that it's a recycled monastery in Europe.
Anyways, moving on from DLC things and towards Permadeath. The new mode will be called "I Am The Night" and you'll be able to play it... right after you finish both the game and New Game Plus. Here's what Guillaume had to say about this:
"The main narrative arc and side missions last about 12 hours and then you have all the collectibles. To get 100 per cent of that will take much, much longer. We have a new difficulty level, New Game Plus is coming back - that's really difficult - and when you're done with that there's I Am The Night mode - which is no saves and one life."
Well, a soft save will be there – they don't want you to just sit there for 12 hours straight, Batmanning it up - but it's still brutal and still more than 36 hours of Batman's story, repeated three times. One death and you have to start all over again. Then, as the credits play after the I Am the Night run, authorities are notified of your address and possible Bats-related mania.
So yeah, add some fun via money and then by replaying the same stuff all over again. Three times. This is fun, right?
