Arkham Insider Shows More Arkham Knight “Dual Play”
Yo jurors! Not too long ago we brought you the news that Batman was going to have some help in Arkham Knight. Along with that news there was a tease of the “dual play” system enabling Batman and a teammate to team up for combinations and takedowns.
Well today’s video is more than a tease. It’s a full fight showing just how the dual play system functions. In essence, two of the Batman family heroes will engage the various thugs in combat. The player will control one of them while the AI controls the other. At any point in the combat the player can switch control with the AI to control the other character and when conditions are met (such as the combo meter) before team takedowns. There’s more info to tell, but that’s what the video is for.
It looks fantastic but part of me wonders why the option to have a human friend control the other hero, at least on challenge maps or something similar, doesn’t seem to be included. Time will tell with only a few more weeks until release.
What say you jurors? Ready to take down the thugs when the night is darkest? Or are you tired of waiting for this game to dawn? Let us know in the comments.
