Annihilate Planets with Titans

Announced and released today, Planetary Annihilation: Titans is the standalone expansion to last year's Planetary Annihilation, and includes both the base game, and these new updates. Titans is available to everyone who backed the game on Kickstarter, owing to a post on the game's page. For those that didn't back the game but own the original Planetary Annihilation, Titans can be picked up for a 66% discount, and for those looking to enter into the series now, Titans will run you a cool 39.99 USD.

What's exactly new in Titans, though? Well, there's the namesake units, which, as you can see in the video above, tower well over your other units, and can be used to crack planets wide open, or obliterate entire armies in a singular blow. A total of 16 new units make their first appearance in Titans, and there's also some multi-level terrain options now, and a new tutorial to boot.

The original Planetary Annihilation suffered from a variety of issues, least of which being a rather obtrusive tutorial experience. Titans may alleviate some of the gripes that the community had, though it's hard to say just exactly they're going to react at seeing a new standalone with more content released by the same team. Hopefully though Uber continues supporting the game well into the future.
