The creators of Alice: Madness Returns are back with a brand new title - Akaneiro: Demon Hunter. Set in Japan at around the dawn of the 20th Century, you will take control of Red-Riding Hood gone Samurai to defeat demons, wolves and all sorts of other mythical monsters. Why? Because why the hell not. At the moment, I can’t come up with anything more random than Red Riding Hood making it to Japan, putting on full armour and slashing up everything that moves. And randomness, blessed be it, is a good thing.

Not much is known about the actual story line just yet. However, we do know of the existence The Order of Akane, an ancient group of daemon hunters that train their disciples into knights known as the Red Hunters. These Red Hunters in turn strike down the Yokai, the term for Japanese Folk Monsters, with righteous fury. As you might have guessed, you will be one of the Red Hunters and it is your task to deliver Yomi Island from the evil.
