Air Buccaneers, a game that sprung up from a fantastic Unreal mod, has just been released on Steam for the price of $15. It is a strange game, to say the least, where the premise involves airship combat with steampunk/fantasy aesthetics. Not only are there cannons, rockets and other heavy weaponry to play around with, one may also take the action directly to the enemy airship, boarding it with musket and blade as your own narrowly avoids incoming broadsides.

It is amazing that such a complex game could have been spawned from a simple mod, and yet, this clearly shows the rising importance of the modding scene and the versatility of the PC platform as a whole. I for one heartily recommend this game to those interested in naval combat, steampunk elements, or simply looking for an interesting and fun experience. You can buy it here.
