You know, Microsoft actually may have some merit after all with being more dedicated to Steam and the PC platform. Not only is Age of Mythology coming to Steam, it's actually getting a bit of a makeover treatment and enhancements, hence the use of 'extended edition', but what is it getting specifically? To start with, it's getting a whole load of Steamworks goodies, including achievements and trading cards, steam cloud saving, Steamworks multiplayer support and...Steam workshop for mod support.

It'll be also be getting some extended features, such as native twitch support, an actual enhanced observer mode, and as for graphics water textures and lighting is to be improved along with a few other top ups in the graphic department. But most importantly, when can we actually pre-purchase this? Pretty soon, as in May this year, so that's next month? Sounds about right.
