Not too long ago (last week in fact) we brought you early alpha footage of promising slug cat simulator, Rain World. The developers have now released a slightly longer trailer showing off some of the awesome looking and awesomely varied areas of the game. Check it out above.

In other news, with just over a week to go the game's Kickstarter has already met its funding goal of $25,000. The crowd funding campaign is trying to reach its first stretch goal of $50,000 which will mean the game gets Linux support (as well as better development tools and the possibility that Rain World will be ported to major consoles at some point in the future. Everybody wins!). Lastly, a recent update revealed that Rain World has been Greenlit for Steam too, meaning that the game may one day be playable on Valve's Steam Machine.
