A Ripper's Creed

By Bobfish15-09-2015

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a little over a month away from release, so this clearly the best time to start advertising upcoming DLC and a Season Pass. Really Ubi? Really?!

Look guys, we get it, you're a business and you want to make money. And credit where credit is due, your DLC and Season Pass efforts do tend to be at the higher end of the scale. But bugger me! At least wait for your game to be released first. I mean, what, are y'all trying to compete with yourselves or something?

"Buy our game."

"No, buy the DLC!"

Anyway. The DLC package, which can be purchased individually, or as part of the Season Pass, is set twenty years after the main game and focuses around the Jack the Ripper murders. What are you betting old Jack is a Templar eh? Since everyone knows they were responsible for every bad thing in the world ever. Conclusive proof, the Templars are actually a front for #GamerGate. Or something.

The rest of the Season Pass contents are as follow:

- The Last Maharaja mission pack: Discover ten brand-new missions set within London, and join Duleep Singh to reclaim his birthright as the Maharaja. In his quest to reclaim his heritage, he will take on the Templars and test his friendship with the queen.

· A Long Night exclusive mission: Help Jacob track down an endangered fellow gang member and bring him back to the hideout in a fast-paced, wild, and dangerous ride.

· Streets of London gameplay pack: Gain access to over one hour of extra gameplay via new missions, and obtain additional weapons, gear, and outfits.

· Two top-tier sets of gear and weapons: Give your arsenal a steam-powered twist with the Steampunk Pack, and immerse yourself in the most famous novels of the Victorian era with the Victorian Legends Pack. Both sets include state-of-the art gear and weapons, as well as a new outfit.

· Exclusive XP boost: All Season Pass holders receive an exclusive permanent XP boost.

Meanwhile, the game will launch on October 23rd for consoles, and November 19th for the PC. Great t see you're still committed to improving relations with the PC Master Race as well there Ubi!

Wow. Pay money to watch Ubisoft absolutely butcher a really mysterious and fascinating real-world story. Watch as they make it as mundane and boring as it could possibly get.
