Normally movie tie-in games aren't anything to pay much attention to. They're often rushed and underloved, pushed out the door to make a few thousand more bucks riding the coat-tails of whatever movie it happens to be accenting, but Transformers games haven't been all bad recently. Sure, while Fall of Cybertron wasn't game of the year material by any means, it was still a breath of fresh air. Activision hasn't outright said which studio will be developing the game, but there's a possibility of Edge of Reality, developers of the recently released Loadout to be working on the next one.

"Rise of the Dark Spark jumps worlds and factions as it weaves the tale of the hunt for an ancient relic as powerful as the Matrix of Leadership - the Dark Spark. Players will be able to switch between the heroes of the noble Autobots and the nefarious Decepticons throughout the single-player campaign."

Yep, that all sounds like Transformers stuff alright. The story will be following up on War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron's plots, hopefully they can follow up on the quality.
