No, not a Half-Life 2 mod, but a mod of the original Half-Life, The Core has released its first trailer. This mod has been in development for about 5 years and still doesn't have a release date. Seriously, what is it with Half-Life things and taking really long? To be completely honest, as someone who has played a lot of mods for both Half-Life and Half-Life 2, aside from the fairly decent voice acting, I don't see anything special. It really just strikes me as a bunch of new maps and a few custom textures. I'm not seeing any new weapons or enemies, so unless they are amazing map designers or writers, I don't think it will be worth the wait. Also I hate to be negative, but these stories of long awaited mods or games rarely have a happy ending. Let's hope.
