Star Trek The Game – Salvation Trailer
Namco Bandai Games has released another trailer showing off yet more gameplay of the Star Trek video game, which is based on the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie.
The full trailer can be viewed above and of course the question on everyone’s mind is whether or not the game will be yet more movie-licensed ****, or if it will be more like Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, thus a quality licensed video game.
As for what is shown in the trailer, it mostly consists of fast cuts and little actual clearly visible gameplay. The trailer also advertises its co-op feature, which allows a second player to drop-in and play as Spock alongside a friend who plays as Kirk. Also shown in the trailer is some of the unique gameplay elements that each character will have, Kirk is more orientated around shooting, while Spock is more orientated around stealth and using his Vulcan nerve pinch to take out enemies silently.
The game’s official website can be found here. The title will launch on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 23rd, 2013 in USA and the 26th in Europe that same month.
