Rejoice RPG Fans - Divinity: Original Sin 2 Is Happening
Yes, you read the title right. Larian Studios, the developers of Divinity: Original Sin have announced that they're going to be making a sequel to the much loved, both by fans and critics, RPG that blew pretty much everything else out of the water on its release by mixing old school interaction and modern design philosophies to create a funny, yet serious and very deep RPG that didn't hold your hand but rather let you experiment with solutions, not just to fights but also to quests.
Enough of my gushing about the original – Divinity Original Sin 2 already has an official site where you can vote on what rewards you'd like to see in the Kickstarter for the game which will begin on the 26 August. For those lucky enough to be going to PAX Prime a prototype of the game will be playable there at Booth #6011. Stay tuned for more as we get it.
Update: Good job you stayed tuned - it's not been long since the announcement but already people are asking "Why Kickstarter again?" so Larian staffer Swen Vincke has written a blog post to address the issue. If you can't be arsed reading it from the link above it boils down to "because we want fan input and Kickstarter allows that."
