Curiosity Quenched: Centre Of The Cube Revealed

Avatar
By BloodyFanGirl26-05-2013

Yesterday we reported that there were only 8 layers left on 22Cans & Peter Molyneux's cube Curiosity. Players have now broken through to the centre and its contents have been revealed. Or rather a player has gotten to the centre, specifically Bryan Henderson from Edinburgh, Scotland.

And what did Henderson find at the centre of the cube? The video above and the ability to be God over all players in 22Cans' upcoming game Godus. You can watch footage of a prototype being played here and a playable alpha should be available soon.

The winner's video was originally revealed to only Henderson but he agreed to share it and it has since been uploaded to 22Cans' youtube channel. The winner's video depicts Peter Molyneux inside of a white cube explaining, "You, the person who reached the center, will be the God of all people that are playing Godus. You will intrinsically decide on the rules that the game is played on."

And that's not all as Molyneux elaborates in the video "You will share in the success of the product. Every time people spend money on Godus, you will get a small piece of that pie."

It's not exactly what I was expecting to be at the centre of the cube but then I wasn't sure what to expect. What do you think of this reveal? Let us know in the comments below.

So they're expecting Godus to make money then.....I thought everyone that wanted it gave to the Kickstarter....

Well I did predict it had to do with his Kickstarter game :P so yay me!

This all sounds very vague, curious to see how this plays out :O

Will he really get actual money from the revenue of Godus? or are they speaking in-game riches?

Fable has dynamic weather, a day and night cycle, changing seasons, every decision will affect the story et cetera et cetera

He's the sort of man who'll promise to bake you a cake and then show up at your house with a stale muffin full of weevils.

Not the hype really. Just, well, it's Molyneux. He has a habit of under delivering

@Bobfish: Another victim of over-hype. :/
Still, Bryan Henderson got something pretty sweet out of it. :P

That's actually rather underwhelming to be honest
